The Warrenton Warriors earned a slim three-stroke win over North Point last week and a one-stroke win over Winfield Tuesday to extend their perfect dual record.
Now 4-0 in GAC North duals, Warrenton beat North Point 193-196 at Innsbrook Golf Course. The Warriors and Grizzlies were close up and down the lineup in Warrenton’s win. Warrenton’s Troy Anderson finished second among all golfers with a 44. North Point’s Nick Compton placed first among all golfers. He shot a 43.
Warrenton’s Ethan Leavitt finished tied for third. He shot a 47. Owen Thompson finished tied for fifth with a 50. Maison Rader’s 52 score put Warrenton above North Point in the total standings. North Point’s fourth highest round came from Luke Gieselmann, who shot a 56. The top four scores from each team are included in the final score.
Warrenton’s Ethan King also competed for the Warriors against North Point. He shot a 59.
Warrenton followed up their close win over North Point with a 174-175 win over Winfield Tuesday at Country Lakes Golf Club. Anderson placed first among all golfers in the competition. He shot a 40. Leavitt finished tied for third and shot a 43. Thompson shot a 44 and Rader shot a 47 to round out Warrenton’s counting scores. King shot a 50 for the Warriors.
