Warrenton broke or tied nine school records on their way to a historic season on the gridiron.

Warrenton quarterback Charlie Blondin set three school records both for his performance this season and over his Warrenton career.

Blondin broke the single game passing yards record with 414 yards passing in Warrenton’s 49-21 home win over Union earlier this season. Blondin also broke the single season and career passing records. He broke the single season record  this season with 2,642 yards through the air. Blondin finished his career, which spanned less than two full seasons, with 4,219 yards passing. Blondin played in eight games last season and all 12 games this season.

Warrenton’s Chance McPike set one school record and tied two additional school records during his freshman season. McPike set the single game receiving yards  record and tied the single game receiving touchdowns record for his performance against Union. McPike hauled in six receptions for 255 yards and four touchdowns in the Warriors’ win over Union. All four of McPike’s touchdowns came in the second half.

McPike also tied a school record for returns for touchdown in a single season with three.

Safety Brandon Johnson set a new single season record with seven interceptions. He now has 10 interceptions over his career, which ties him for the career interception record.

Peyton Dawson tied the school’s single game interception record with three interceptions in Warrenton’s game against Union earlier this season.

Warrenton finished the regular season with a perfect 9-0 record, including a 4-0 record in the GAC North. Warrenton won their first outright conference title in 28 years. The Warriors won their first two district tournament games. They beat Lutheran St. Charles 21-20 in the tournament opener. They beat Parkway North 28-21 in overtime on the road to advance to the district championship game. Warrenton fell to Hannibal on the road in the district championship game. The Warriors ended the season 11-1.
