Ruff, Teson place first at Harrisonville

Two Warrenton wrestlers won their weight class to help the Warriors to a 10th place team finish at the Harrisonville Tournament. 

Warrenton senior Jacob Ruff and freshman Zayden Teson both won all of their matches to place first in their weight class. 

Ruff won all six of his matches to win the 215-pound weight class. Ruff won all three of his opening round matches and his quarterfinal match all by fall to advance to the semifinals. After earning a 10-2 major decision victory over Brock Smith of Marlow, Ruff beat CJ Nelson of Van Horn on a 7-5 decision to win his weight class. 

Competing in the 106-pound weight class, Teson went 5-0 to win his weight class for the second consecutive weekend. Of his five wins, Teson won two matches by fall and three matches by decision. He beat Ryzen Isringhausen of Branson on a 4-0 decision in the semifinals and Tanner Putt of Carthage on a 2-0 decision in the championship match. 

Jeremiah Kassing went 6-1 in the 126-pound weight class to place third. Kassing won his first five matches of the day to advance to the semifinals. Kassing dropped a 9-4 decision to Simon Hartline of Monett in the semifinals. Kassing rebounded to beat Minko Brown of Rockwood Summit on a 6-5 decision in the third place match. 

Noah Lohrmann won five of his seven matches and placed fifth in the 138-pound weight class. Lohrmann won his final two matches of the tournament on major decisions to earn a fifth place finish. 

Max Teson went 5-3 in the 144-pound weight class and placed seventh. Teson beat Damon Queen of Van Horn by fall in the seventh place match. 

Korben Johnson also won five matches. He placed 11th in the 165-pound weight class.
