The total increase comes in the general fund, where the rate for the general fund for the 2023-2024 school year is $3.5476. The general fund tax levy in the 2022-2023 school year was $3.5398.
The district’s capital projects and debt service levies remain the same. The capital projects levy will remain at $0.0814. The district’s debt service levy will remain at $0.6503. The Wright City R-II Board of Education voted to approve leaving their tax rate at $4.4487 for the 2023-2024 school year. The total tax rate remains the same as it was during the 2022-2023 school year.
The 2023-2024 tax rate will include increases to the levy in both the general fund and debt service fund. After levying at $2.76 in the general fund in the 2022-2023 school year, the district will levy $3.2289 for the upcoming school year. The district’s debt service levy slightly increased from $0.99 to $1.01. The district’s levy in the capital projects fund decreased from $0.70 to $0.21.
