Q: Did you play a lot of sports growing up?
A: “Yeah, I started football when I was in fifth grade. The last sport I picked up, but I've played basketball and baseball my whole life.”
Q: Do you have a favorite sport?
A: “Not really a favorite. I love them all.”
Q: Do you think the defense is playing well and is off to a good start?
A: “I feel like our defense has really stepped up. We've been changing the game out there, really shutting them down.”
Q: What was it like having to sit out last year and then being able to play again this year?
A: “It was tough. I mean, around nine, ten months I was out and then the year before, I had a collarbone injury. So it's been a long time since I've been on the football field, but I'm glad to be back.”
Q: Is there a benefit to playing just one side of the ball?
A: “I'm still coming off my ACL injury, so my doctor said I can play defense right now. So hopefully soon to come, I'll be able to play running back around week five, week six.”
Q: You guys ended last year strong. You got off to a fast start this year. Do you feel like the team is coming together and even maybe has their best football ahead of them?
A: “Oh, yeah, I feel like we have a good group of guys and we're just ready to work, ready to win, ready to play.”
Q: What is the focus as you guys look towards the rest of the season?
A: “We’re looking forward towards a conference championship. Hopefully we get that and yeah, we’ve just got to keep improving as a whole honestly and just stay on the same page. Keep rolling, keep playing good.”
Q: Warrenton also has a lot of weapons on offense. Is it nice having both sides of the ball contribute?
A: “Yeah, it’s nice when we get a break and, our offense can do that, put on a show.”
