For the first time in 2024, and for the fourth year in a row, First Street in downtown Wright City played host to the First Fridays block party. The street was blocked for attendees who took in all of the vendors, food and activities the event had to offer.
Running from 5-9 p.m. the event saw over 500 people gathering in downtown Wright City. The event also carried a hispanic theme in honor of the Cinco de Mayo holiday that would follow that weekend.
Attendees listened to music from Tropic Moods STL as they ate food offered from a number of trucks and locations including downtown restaurants, a fish fry from the Wright City Community Food Pantry and from as far as Florissant with options like Drew’s Sauce.
Kids could also enjoy snow cones, bounce houses, slides and a display from the STL Bubble Van. The bubbles and bounce houses were especially popular drawing crowds of kids as their parents looked on.
First Fridays will return June 7 with a performance from country cover band Drawl STL.
