William Joseph Gieson, Sr. passed away July 10, 2021, at Aspire Nursing and Rehab in Jonesburg, MO.
He was born April 29, 1949, in St. Louis, MO to Frank and Viola Walton Gieson. He and Linda Jean Balsmann were married on October 10, 1986, in O'Fallon, MO.
He was of the Catholic faith. William worked for Monsanto for 30 years in corporate security. He enjoyed fishing in his leisure time.
He is survived by his wife Linda of Warrenton, MO., sons Tyson (Genessa) Gieson of Warrenton, Shalin (Brandy) Gieson of Little Rock, Arkansas, Jesse (Jessie) Gieson of Columbia, MO., and William Gieson Jr. of St. Louis, daughter Amy Gieson, sister Darlene (Rick) Doyle, and grandchildren Hope, Nathan, Paige, Shepherd, Brooklyn, Caleb, and Dallas.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau, MO. with full military rites.
Memorial contributions are appreciated to the St. Jude's Children Hospital.
