William Gatewood passed away on September 5, 2021, at the age of 81.
He was the beloved husband of Nancy Gatewood nee Nielsen of Wentzville, Missouri; He is survived by his four sons, Willaim R (Julianne) Gatewood II, Robert G. (Christine) Gatewood, Riley O. (Karen) Gatewood, Russell (Kathrine) Gatewood; two daughters, Robin K. (David) Bealler, Peggy (Paul) Yoder; grandchildren, 18; great-grandchildren, 15; He is preceded in death by his father, Robert W Gatewood, mother, Mabel L Childers, first wife, Alice Gatewood nee Brewer, brother, Ronald Gatewood, half-brother, Robert Childers. William was a member of Pauldingville Masonic Lodge #11 in Wright City, Missouri. He was a veteran having served in the US Navy. William loved to hunt and fish. He was very interested in Astronomy. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 13, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church of O'Fallon, 8750 Veterans Memorial Parkway, O'Fallon, Missouri 63366.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 13, 2021, at 12:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church of O'Fallon, O'Fallon, lunch immediately following.
Interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, Saint Louis Missouri.
Memorials can be made to Pauldingville Masonic Lodge #11 in Wright City for funding charities.
