Warrenton city leaders will hold a special meeting Monday, Nov. 23, to discuss actions to slow the rapid spread of COVID-19 in the community. The meeting will be conducted virtually.
City officials on Wednesday issued ths meeting announcement:
"City of Warrenton Board of Aldermen are holding a special meeting and seeking public input Monday, November 23, at 6:00 p.m. regarding actions to slow the spread of Covid 19. During a regular board of aldermen meeting Nov. 17, elected officials said they are concerned about the increasing number of local COVID cases, which have exceeded 400 active cases in Warren County and caused eight deaths. New recommendations for local government response, to be issued by Gov. Mike Parson this Friday, will be included in the discussion. Elected officials also asked for representatives of the Warren County Commission, County Health Department, and local doctors to take part in the discussion and make recommendations about what actions the city of Warrenton should take. Public participation is also invited.
