The Warrenton Police Department released the following weekly incident report for the dates of May 22 through May 28.
Monday, May 22
Store personnel observed subject switch labels on merchandise and fail to scan correct code for two items at a self checkout register. Merchandise recovered. Male age 35 taken into custody and transported to the Warren County Jail facility. Citation issued.
Friday, May 26
Two vehicle accident. Vehicle One struck rear of Vehicle Two which had slowed due to traffic. No injuries reported. Vehicle One towed from the scene by private tow company. Driver One issued municipal citation for driving while suspended.
Store personnel observed woman conceal items in her bag and switch tags on several items. Subject also opened and used several items and put them back on the shelves rendering them unfit for sale. Citations issued to White, Female age 57 for stealing, trespassing and property damage.
Saturday, May 27
One vehicle accident. Vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a utility pole after driver fainted. No injuries reported. Vehicle towed from the scene by Approved Towing Company.
Store personnel observed a woman switch tags on merchandise and fail to pay the correct price at a self checkout register. The subject then fled the scene in a white SUV. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and the woman was taken into custody and transported to the Warren County jail facility. Citations issued to white, female, age 44 for stealing and trespassing.
Sunday, May 28
Two vehicle accident. Vehicle One turned right from the left lane and struck driver’s side of Vehicle Two traveling in the right lane. Driver One stated she did not see Vehicle Two before the collision No injuries reported. Both Vehicles were operational and able to be driven from the scene.
Unknown subject(s) took items from unsecured shed. Generator, tools, and lawnmower taken. Estimated cost of loss $670.00. Under investigation.
Employee stated a customer took his lighter and pack of cigarettes from the counter. The customer was located walking on the service road and informed the officer where he had left the lighter. The lighter and cigarettes were recovered. White, male, age 29 taken in to custody and transported to the Warren County Jail facility. Citation issued for stealing.
