With a 55-47 loss to St. Charles West on Feb. 7, the Warrenton boys basketball team is now 12-10 on the season and 3-4 in conference play.
As the leading scorer at over 17 points per game heading into the contest against West, Troy Anderson once again led the Warriors in points with 16 points, while Deadrick Forrest added 14 and Joe Goldsmith put up 11. Anderson also leads the team in free throw percentage, rebounds, assists, and blocks.
“It was a very slow start for us,” said Warriors Coach Mark Thomas. “We got down (and) battled back to shortly take the lead in the fourth.”
That lead, though, was short lived. “Once we had to start fouling to try to get the ball back, West was able to make their free throws and secure the win,” added Thomas.
Warrenton faced Orchard Farm on Feb. 13 and is on the road Feb. 16 at St. Charles. The Warriors host Winfield on Feb. 19.
