Walter Paul Dieckmann

Mr. Walter Paul Dieckmann, of Innsbrook, passed away on Wednesday, November 8. He was born on March 19, 1946 in Oak Park, IL, to the late Walter and Margaret (nee: Weitzman) Dieckmann. Walter had reached the age of 77 years.

Walter graduated from University of Illinois with a Mechanical Engineering Degree and MBA. While serving our country in the United States Air Force he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Sharon Lynn Kubinski on August 16, 1969 in Tinley Park, IL. They recently celebrated 54 wonderful years of marriage together. This union was blessed with three children; Karinsa, Carl and Dan.  

For over 30 years, Walter worked at the "Binkley Company", now SAF Holland as an engineer on various projects including custom roll forming.Walter was a long time member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Warrenton where he held various positions.  After retiring, he worked for Sikich Tax Preparation for several years. He enjoyed walking and he could fix or repair just about anything. Walter enjoyed traveling, whether with his family or with his career which he called "Industrial Tourism". 

Walter Dieckmann was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Margaret. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Sharon Dieckmann; his three children: Karinsa Moline and husband Brian; Carl Dieckmann and wife Emily; Dan Dieckmann and wife Aelisa; and eight grandchildren: Luke, Jack, James, Gavin, Madelyn, Haven, Gabrielle and Andilyn.

Walter's family will host a gathering Saturday, November 18, from 10 A.M. - 11 A.M. at St. John's Lutheran Church followed by a Celebration Service  at 11 A.M. with Pastor Jeremy Klaustermeier officiating. Burial for Mr. Walter Dieckmann will be held privately. Memorial donations are suggested to be made to Good Shepherd Center Daycare and Playground c/o Martin Funeral Home.
