Mrs. Verlia Flodine (nee: Rich) Dobsch of Montgomery City, MO, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2022. Verlia was born on August 20, 1939, in Franklin County, IL, to the late Barney and Ethel Rich (nee: Shaw). She had reached the age of 82 years, 10 months and 28 days. She was married to William Joseph Dobsch on May 19, 1962, in Warrenton. They spent 57 wonderful years together until his death on July 16, 2019.
Verlia was a true hard worker. She worked at the quick store in Montgomery City for many years and was always a friendly face to everyone. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Those that are grateful for having shared in Verlia's life are her three brothers, Donald and wife Karen Rich of Warrenton; Ronnie and wife Terralee Rich of Warrenton and Loren and wife Sheila Rich of Benton, IL; she has spent the last few years living with her dear cousin, Maxine Lockeby of Mount Vernon, IL; her other loving cousins, Norma Lee Henderson of Mount Vernon, IL, Larry Shaw and wife Gwen of Carbondale, IL, Kenny Shaw and wife Shirley of Cleveland, TN, Nyoka Riddle of Mount Vernon, IL, Ricky Shaw and wife Courtney of Benton, IL, Daryl Shaw and wife Eula of Herrin, IL, Ronnie Shaw and wife Judy of El Paso, TX, and Max Shaw and wife Barbara of Anson, TX; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Barney and Ethel; two brothers, Franklin and wife Barbara Rich, and Dennis and wife Patty Rich.
