If you’re a fan of playing golf and/or donating to charitable causes, you’re in luck. The next few weeks are crammed with golf tournaments supporting local charities and non-profits.

Dalton Memorial Golf Tournament

The Wes Dalton Memorial Golf Tournament will take place Sept. 16 at Warrenton Golf Course, with a 1 p.m. tee time. Rotary Club of Warren County organizes the tournament as a fundraiser to benefit the club’s mission of supporting local education and community programs.

Entry to the tournament is $75 per player, which includes lunch at noon, drinks, and light food after the tournament.
For information about how to register, email Gregg Klinginsmith at klinginsmithg@warrencor3.org.

Wright City Chamber’s first tourney

The Wright City Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its first annual golf tournament on Sept. 17 at Country Lakes Golf Course in Warrenton. Registration begins at 7:15 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.

Cost of entry is $75 per person or $300 for a full team. There will be cash payouts for two flights, men’s and women’s longest drive, and five closest to the pin.

Proceeds from the tournament will support local student scholarships and the Chamber’s mission of promoting member businesses.

Heiliger Memorial Golf Tournament

The Dave Heiliger Memorial Foundation will host a fundraising tournament Sept. 19 at Warrenton Golf Course. Shotgun start is at 1 p.m. Lunch and dinner will be provided, with to-go option available for dinner.

Cost to register is $350 per team. The format of the tournament is four-person scramble. There will be cash payouts for flights, longest drive and closest to the pin.

The foundation is also accepting hole sponsorships for $100. All proceeds will benefit the Heiliger Memorial Foundation’s mission of supporting Wright City families and charities in need.

‘Mullet golf’ for Warrenton Chamber

“Business in the front and party in the back” is the slogan for this nine-hole tournament on Oct. 14 to benefit the Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce.

The tournament at Warrenton Golf Course will be broken into two concurrent events: a three-person scramble tournament on the front nine holes, and ‘crazy golf’ with no experience required on the back nine holes.

Registration is at 3 p.m., and play starts at 4 p.m. Participation is $60 per person and includes dinner. A range of sponsorship opportunities are also available.

Proceeds benefit the Chamber’s mission to promote Warrenton-area businesses and support local students.
