Theodore H. Nadler, "Ted", of Wright City, passed away Tuesday, January 13, at the age of 82. Ted was born on May 29, 1943, in St. Louis County, the son of the late Theo and Elda (nee: Hoeppner) Nadler.
Ted was united in marriage to Jane A. Holtman on May 10, 1963, in Foristell. They had 62 wonderful years together. Ted was a lifetime member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in New Melle. He had a variety of jobs in his lifetime. He began his career first at the Binkley Co. in Warrenton, McDonnel Douglas in St. Louis, then Harper & Row in Troy and finally Exel Logistics in St. Peters. Evenings and weekends were spent trying to grow crops, managing the farm, and hog projects he started for his three children. These projects in turn made enough money for their college education. Ted enjoyed fishing, maintaining his three ponds, and mowing the lawn with his commercial Scaggs mower.
Ted is survived by his wife, Jane; three children, Tim Nadler and wife Monica, Linda Montes and husband Al, and John Nadler; two granddaughters, Emily and Sarah Nadler; two sisters, Betty Athey and husband Ed and Kathy Ault and husband Bill; and one sister in-law, Rose Fink; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theo and Elda Nadler; and brother-in-law, Bob Fink.
Visitation and funeral for Ted Nadler were held on Monday, January 19, at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in New Melle. A burial was at the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery also in New Melle. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Ted can be made to the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery or to donors choice.
