Warren County residents will no longer be in “northern” and “southern” districts when it comes to choosing county commissioners.
Instead, voters will now be in District 1 and District 2 as the county population grows.
“The growth is naturally north,” Presiding Commissioner Joe Gildehaus said during a Feb. 13 public hearing at the Warren County Administration Building.
District 1 will encompass most voters from the old northern district, while District 2 will encompass most of the old southern district.
But there are some significant changes to the new boundaries. Warrenton Ward 2 will move into District 2 and Truesdale voters will now be in District 1.
The Warren County Clerk’s office will be sending out new registration cards to all voters to reflect the changes.
