Shirley Jean Mobley of Warrenton passed away on February 19, at Oak Point Senior Living at the age of 87. Jean was born August 4, 1935, in High Hill, to Ben and Goldie Wright nee Prior.
Jean is survived by her 2 daughters, Susie (Brad) Busekrus of Warrenton, and Patti (Mark) Mazanec of Warrenton; brother, Don (Janis) Wright of Warrenton; 4 grandchildren, Dan Herbel, Katie Herriman, Josh Busekrus, Alyssa Mazanec; 6 great-grandchildren, Brennan, Sydney, Ilyse, Avery, Lilly, and Bradley;
Jean is preceded in death by her father, Ben M. Wright, mother, Goldie Wright, and husband, William R. Mobley.
Jean enjoyed gambling, playing cards and bingo, having parties with friends and family, going to the Lake of the Ozarks, and road trips for the best-fried chicken. Jean loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 28, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 12 p.m. Memorials can be made to Warrenton Senior Center in care of Pitman Funeral Home.
