Mrs. Shirley Frances Pauk (nee: Helvey) of Wright City, passed away on Saturday, May 24. She was born on July 27, 1945, in Seneca, KS to the late Vester and Helen (nee: Tate) Helvey. Shirley had reached the age of 79 years.
Shirley was united in marriage to Ronald Charles John Pauk on February 15, 1964, in New Melle. They celebrated 58 years together before his passing in 2022. They were blessed with three children, Jeanette, Michelle, and Tammy. Shirley helped to support her family by working as a Hairdresser for many years. She enjoyed working and caring for her flower gardens and playing games with her friends. She especially liked to play card games. She enjoyed looking through photo albums and reminiscing about each person or event in them. Shirley loved caring for her family, and she loved her grandchildren dearly.
Shirley Pauk was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ron; one daughter, Michelle Pauk; her parents, Vester and Helen; two sisters, Judy Lawson and Peggy Crider. Surviving family members include two daughters, Jeanette Zykan and husband Joseph and Tammy Gierer and husband Brendan; six grandchildren, Amanda Braxton and husband Aaron, Megan Bowen and husband Donald, Joseph Zykan Jr., Abigail Brown and husband Josiah, Keeley Gierer, Brendan Gierer Jr. and wife Toni; 5 great grandchildren, Aurora, Charlee Ann, Thea, Lukas and Iris; two siblings, Geneva Janovsky and husband Roger, and John Helvey and wife Sharon; other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held in honor of Shirley on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Martin Funeral Home, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. A service will begin at 12:00 PM, also at the funeral home. A committal service will follow at the Wright City Cemetery.
