Sharon Sue Krause of Warrenton, Missouri passed away at her home, surrounded by her family on Sunday, June 13, 2021. She was born April 9, 1951 in St. Charles, MO to Wilfred and Lucille (Nee: Mitner) Ostmann. She had reached the age of 70 years.

Sharon grew up with four brothers and one sister on a hog and cattle farm outside of Wright City, MO. Sharon and her siblings learned the meaning of hard work and perseverance on the family farm. She met the love of her life, Michael, at 17.

From that point on, Sharon and Michael built their lives together. They married on September 18, 1971. Michael and Sharon had a heck of a wonderful time together. In 1979 they welcomed their first child, Clinton. That toe-headed boy needed company so in 1981 Jodi was born. Michael worked and Sharon stayed home to raise their children. In 1988 their third child, Levi was born. Levi completed their family. Sharon was a wonderful mother to her children and she taught them her values that they will carry with them forever.

Later in life came the grandchildren. Sharon’s grandchildren were her pride and joy. Sharon would be the first to soothe a crying baby, bait a fishhook, teach the grandchildren to drive, or help someone through their toughest times. If you ask her grandsons how to clean a squirrel, they will show you how Grandma did it. Although, it will never taste the same as when Grandma cooked it.

Sharon loved floating the Missouri streams and traveling with her long-life friends to every winery they could find. Sharon, “Wife,” “Mom,” “Grandma,” “Sister,” “Aunt,” “Cousin,” “Friend,” will be deeply missed by everyone lucky enough to have known her.

Although we don’t want to do it without you Mom, we will. We love you so much. Will the Circle Be Unbroken.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred and Lucille; brothers, Richard “Dicky” Ostmann and Michael Ostmann; her beloved sister, Darlene Harris. She is survived by her husband, Michael; sons, Clinton (Jennifer) and Levi (Chelsey); daughter, Jodi Deuser (Jul); grandchildren Drake, Savannah, Eli, Bryson, and Ray; brothers, Wilfred Ostmann (Barbara) and Brian Ostmann (Patty); many other family and friends.

Sharon’s family will hold a celebration of her life at a later date.
