Serengeti Steve brings friends to St. Vincent's Catholic School

Posted

Students from St. Vincent’s Catholic School experienced a special entertainer Friday, Feb. 2, to cap off Catholic Schools Week. Serengeti Steve brought laughter and disbelief as he introduced the students to his reptiles and amphibians. Serengeti Steve is known for being a contestant on America’s Got Talent and for breaking the Guinness Book of World Records for holding a venomous scorpion in his mouth for 17 minutes. Serengeti Steve performs more than 600 educational shows each year.

Serengeti Steve, a herpetologist from the St. Louis area, has been entertaining crowds for more than 25 years. He spent many years extracting snake venom for cancer research labs, but now spends most of his time thrilling students with a balance of laughter and terror as he introduces his animals to students.
