Ruth A Woods passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on January 20, at the age of 86. Ruth was born September 15, 1937, in St. Louis, to Alvie Moore and Marie Wilson-Moore-Maloney.
Ruth is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years Welton Woods of Jonesburg; 3 children, Gary (Rhonda) Woods of Jonesburg, Karen (Rick) Smith of Jonesburg, Debbie Wilson of Union; brother, Dan Maloney of Las Vegas, NV; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father, Alvie Moore, mother, Marie Maloney, and 3 siblings, Mike Maloney, Patsy Woods, and Pamela Patterson.
Ruth was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and Jonesburg Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and Church song leader. Ruth dedicated her life to the Lord and her church. She was a loyal Cardinal Fan, enjoyed crocheting, crafting, mowing the lawn, gospel music, puzzles, gardening and canning. Most of all Ruth loved her family and spending time with them. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held Thursday, January 25, from 10 am. to 12 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist in Warrenton. The funeral is to follow at 12 p.m. Memorials can be made to the Fellowship Baptist Church Warrenton in care of Pitman Funeral Home.
