Rose M. Jackson

Mrs. Rose M. Jackson (nee: Lampe) of Warrenton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 16. Rose was born on July 10, 1938, to the late Clemens and Regina (nee: Peters) Lampe in Glennonville. She was number 13 of 14 children and grew up on a farm in southeast Missouri.  Rose had reached the age of 86 years.

Rose was united in marriage to Charles Jackson on November 3, 1956, and spent 19 blessed years before his passing in 1975. To this union they were blessed with eight children. Rose was dedicated to her family, community, and especially her faith and God. Her love extended to everyone she met. She was a nurse’s aide, waitress, and seamstress, made wedding dresses, prom dresses, and alterations for a great number of people in the community. Rose also had a talent for quilting and crocheting. She enjoyed Monday night bingo at the Elks Club with her friends, and taking care of her plants and flowers. Rose's greatest enjoyment was spending time with her large family at celebrations and special gatherings. She was involved in her faith and church community at Holy Rosary. Rose was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, niece, and a friend to so many. Her presence will greatly be missed by all that knew her.

Rose is survived by her eight children, Peggy Ramsey, Mike Jackson (Barb), Joe Jackson, Steve Jackson (Trish), Dave Jackson, Dan Jackson (Tammy), Tom Jackson, and Sandy Butler (Kenny); 14 grandchildren, Janaye, Danielle, Mike (Lauren), Andy (Danielle), Jeff, Stephanie (Steve), Tayler (Veronica), Josh (Hailey), Jessica, Jeremy (Lindsay), Amber (Evan), Justin (Nakeah), Will, Carly (James), and Adam (Nevaeh); 17 great grandchildren, Bailey, Zoey, Ryder, Lucas, Rowan, Korrie, Jolene, Jackson, Everly, Kaylee, Lucas, Tripp, Damien, Jordyn, Jazz Gwen, and Austin; one brother, Tony (Clementine); many nieces, nephews, other cherished relatives, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clemens and Regina Lampe; her husband, Charles; 12 siblings and their spouses, George (Laura), Ann (Edward), Johanna (Phillip), Marie (George), Eulalia (Clem), Bud (Teresa), Veronica (Howard), Regina (John), Gertrude, Joe (Dorothy), Clem (Judy), Gesine (Richard), and 3 grandchildren, Christopher, Jeff, and Justin N.

A visitation for Rose is scheduled for Wednesday, April 23, from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M. at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 24, beginning at 9:30 A.M. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Warrenton and a burial will follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Warrenton. Memorial donations are suggested to be given to Holy Rosary Catholic Church c/o Martin Funeral Home.
