Ronald David Martin, Sr., 69, Warrenton, passed away on Friday, Feb. 28, 2020, at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis, Mo.
Ron was born August 9, 1950 to the late David and Mildred Martin nee Coleman.
Ron was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where he was a 4th degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He was a man who loved music and could play many instruments, enjoyed golf, barbecue's and was a baseball coach. But most of all Ron enjoyed being with his loving family and was a great jokester. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years Kathleen Martin (nee Zeiser), of Warrenton; 10 children,Thomas Martin, of O'Fallon, Ronald (Jennifer) Martin, Jr., of Warrenton, Brian (Laura) Martin, of Wright City, Heather (Dave) Brinegar, of Branson, Paul (Laura) Martin, of Lake St. Louis, Kevin (Jennifer) Martin, of Grand Forks, North Dakota, Pamela (Mike) Waymire, of Warrenton, William(Jessie) Martin, of Wright City, Catherine (Zachary) Niemann, of Warrenton, Elizabeth (Zach) Martin, of Warrenton, and Diana Martin, of Warrenton; two sisters- in- law, Mary (Ron) Williams, of St. Peters, and Susan (Gene) Wilson, of O'Fallon; many, many grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, David Martin; mother, Mildred Martin; brother, Robert Martin and sister, Gloria Grossheim.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 1, 2020, at Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton, from 1-5 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 2, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Warrenton, at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Warrenton.
