Robert L. Gentry, 88, Warrenton, passed away on Friday, Nov. 29, 2019.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Phyllis Gentry nee Cook, of Warrenton; son, Robert Lee (Karen) Gentry, of Warrenton; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert R. Gentry, mother, Clara C. Gentry, brother, Kenneth G. Gentry, brother, William G. Gentry, sister, Opal Gentry, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Robert and Phyllis shared 62 wonderful years of marriage together. Robert proudly served our country in the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne Division. Robert was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Wright City. He was a wonderful husband and father. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and gardening. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019, at Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton, from 3-7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 6, also at the funeral home, at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at Wright City Cemetery, Wright City.
Donations may be made payable to Immanuel United Church of Christ, Wright City, or Alzheimer's Association in care of Pitman Funeral Home, 904 State Highway 47, Warrenton, Mo. 63383.
