Mr. Robert Franklin Dreyer, of Las Cruces, NM, formerly of Warrenton, passed away on Thursday, November 7. He was born on September 7, 1936 in Warren County, to the late Fred and Meta (nee: Poepplemeyer) Dreyer. Bob had reached the age of 88 years.
Bob worked as a carpenter for many years and was a member of the Local Union 3202. He enjoyed raising farm animals and various birds, such as chickens and peacocks. His favorite was raising guinea fowls. He enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. Bob loved watching old western movies on TV. He involved himself in sports by watching and even coaching. He played baseball for the American Legion team with his brothers and his dad was the coach. He enjoyed all sports but basketball was his favorite. He was a very social man and had many friends and activities he loved to attend. Bob's greatest joy came from spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Bob Dreyer was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Meta; six siblings, Cecil Dreyer, Mildred Williams, Agnes Logan, Ruby Witte, Kenneth Dreyer and John Dreyer. He is survived by his four children, Kim Dickerson, Mark Dreyer and wife Shelly, Brandon Dreyer and Brent Dreyer; three grandchildren, Katie Dickerson, Rae Dickerson and Marley Dreyer; other relatives and close family friends.
No services are scheduled at this time for Mr. Bob Dreyer. Memorial donations are suggested to be given to the Dreyer Family Scholarship Fund through the WISE Foundation, c/o Martin Funeral Home.
