Robert E. Shilharvey

Mr. Robert (Bob) Edward Shilharvey, of Warrenton, MO, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 at his home. Robert was born on February 11, 1925 in Hawk Point, MO, to the late Ed and Rose (nee: Shramek) Shilharvey. He had reached the age of 96 years.

Bob proudly served our country in the United States Army during World War II. He was united in marriage to Anna Marie Peitzman on April 22, 1950 in Hawk Point. To this union four children were born. Bob and Anna spent 64 years together before her passing in 2014. Bob supported his family as a carpenter and was a member of the Carpenters Union 3202. 

As a life long member of the Warren County community, he was involved in many local organizations, including VFW Post 2180 and Knights of Columbus #2341, where he was a past Grand Knight. He was also a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Old Threshers and the Holy Name Society. Bob enjoyed dancing with Anna and playing the guitar and he also enjoyed gardening. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time on his farm deer hunting. Bob was a family man and thoroughly enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Robert Shilhavey was preceded in death by his loving wife Anna; his parents, Ed and Rose Shilharvey; two sons, Danny Shilharvey, Joe Shilharvey; one daughter, Gail Freeman; and son-in-law Dan Freeman.

He is lovingly survived by his son, Mike Shilharvey and wife Nancy; daughters-in-law, Suzanne Shilharvey and Tonia Shilharvey; four grandchildren, Erica Elrod and husband Seth, Megan Wilmes and husband Joe, Audrey Klenc and husband Doug, Charlie Shilharvey and wife Caitlin; eight great grandchildren; special friends and care takers, Ann and Jack Carr, to whom the family is forever grateful for their devoted friendship to Robert and Anna; other relatives and many friends.
