Robert "Bob" Vehige

Robert Clemens Vehige of Wentzville, passed away on September 17, at the age of 77. He is survived by his two daughters, Kari (Jeremy) Jacquin of Wentzville, Karla (Ray) Roentz of Grafton, IL; twelve siblings, Rita (John) Panke, Elaine Feldmann, Denny Vehige, Bonnie (Todd) Bristow, Mary (Dave) Fetsch, Kathy (John) Lorkowski, Joyce  Moors, Rich (Carla) Vehige, Theresa (Tom) Schulte, Frank (Kelly) Vehige, Monica (Jim) Benedict, Mike (Margaret) Vehige; grandchildren, Jacob, Olivia, Rocho, Robert, Loretta;  He is preceded in death by his father, Clemens Vehige, mother, Agnes (Stahlschmidt) Vehige, sister, Ann Vehige, niece, Makayla Vehige, brother-in-law, Mike Moors. 

Bob served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, while serving he was a member of the Army's Meteorological team. Since a young boy, Bob was always interested in cars, he was a car enthusiast and especially loved the Corvettes. He was an active participant of the Mid America Raceway in Wentzville. Bob Was co-owner/operator of Vehige Enterprise Inc. Bob was a farmer by trade and loved raising cattle on the family farm. Bob enjoyed playing baseball and softball, trapping with his brother Denny and he was one of St. Louis Cardinals biggest fans, if there was a game on he wouldn't miss either watching it on TV or listening to it on the radio. Bob was a member of the Wentzville American Legion Post 323. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
 

A visitation will be held on  Wednesday, September 20, from 1 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Pitman Funeral Home at Wentzville. A funeral will be held on Thursday, September 21, at 10 A.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wentzville.  Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Masses at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
