Rick Leslie Pettig

Rick Pettig of Truesdale, passed away on December 2, at the age of 67.
 
He is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Brandon Altom ) Pettig; brother, Larry Pettig; sister, Susie (Tony) Rowan of Warrenton; one granddaughter, Ariel Smallwood; four nieces, Tonia Shepard, Aimee (Jody) Newcomb, Jessica (Keith) Simpson, Jamie (Nathan) Sylvester- Brown; nephew, Jeremy (Katie) Rowan; numerous great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Carl E. Pettig, Sr., mother, Fern M. Pettig (nee: Wandrei), brother, Carl "Eddie" Pettig, Jr., sister, Cheryl Shepard, niece, Barbara DeLeon.
 
Rick dedicated over 30 years of his life to Binkley/Saf Holland as a Press Operator, where he was known for his hard work, dedication and commitment. Outside of his professional life, Rick was a person of many passions. He loved playing arcade games, and one of his favorite games to play was Ms. Pac-Man, and he participated in numerous arcade tournaments. In addition to arcade games, Rick enjoyed shooting pool, playing cards, and spending time fishing. A true people person, Rick was always ready to lend a helping hand. He had a big heart, opening his home to those in need and offering support to anyone who needed it. His warmth and kindness will be remembered by everyone he met. Rick will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton.
 
A visitation will be held Saturday, December 7, from 10 A.M.to 12 P.M. at Pitman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held Saturday, December 7, at 12 P.M.  at  Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton.  Memorials can be made to the Kidney Foundation in care of Pitman Funeral Home.
