Asleep in Jesus, Richard E. Talbert passed away on September 24, 2021, at the age of 79. He was the beloved husband of Peggy Talbert nee James of Wright City, Missouri; He is survived by his daughter, Michell (Charlie) Perkins of O'Fallon, MO; son, Scott (Elizabeth) Talbert of St. Charles, MO; sister, Janice Wood of O'Fallon, MO; grandchildren, Hunter (Emilee), Erin (Alex), Adam; great-grandchild, Colton; brother-in-law, Whitey Marshall of St. Charles, MO; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Chester Vernon Talbert, mother, Lucille Talbert nee Hager, sister, Barbara Marshall. Richard was a member and elder at St. John's Lutheran Church in Warrenton, MO. He also served on the golf committee and took part in the church renovations. Richard loved to golf, fish, and bowl. He was also a hall of fame bowler. Most of all he loved his family and spending as much time as he could with them. Richard had a love and a joy for his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew, loved, and respected him.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 3, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at St. John Lutheran Church, Warrenton, Missouri 63383.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 3, 2021, at 3:00 p.m., at St. John's Lutheran Church, Warrenton.
