Randol E. "Randy" Hammon passed away on January 8, at the age of 58. Randy was born August 29, 1965 in St. Charles, to the late Cleo and Susan Hammon nee Beck.
Randy was united in marriage to Michelle Hudgens on June 7, 1996 and they celebrated 28 years together. Randy enjoyed bowling on many leagues over the course of 10 years. Randy was an avid Chicago Cubs and New York Giants Football fan. He enjoyed fishing, and yard work. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Union. Randy worked for Sporlan for 16 years in Washington. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Michelle Hammon nee Hudgens of Union; 4 children, Natalie Hammon, Joseph Caldwell, Ruby (Jacob) Missey, Edward (Elizabeth) Caldwell; two sisters, Karen Raterman, Carol Wilson; 15 grandchildren, Johnathon, Randol, Nicholas, Mia, Dixie, Gabriel, Rebecca, Joseph, Jaxson, Marvin, Albert, Gunner, Matthew, Cayden, Illiza; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by his father, Cleo Hammon, mother, Susan Hammon, brother, Donald Hammon.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 14 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home in Jonesburg. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Jonesburg City Cemetery in Jonesburg. Memorials can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in care of Pitman Funeral Home.
