The Warren County R-III School Board participated in a board development workshop facilitated by the Missouri School Boards’ Association on July 13-14.The workshop emphasized the important role board members play and how effective boards operate to improve student achievement.The training stressed the importance of establishing and reviewing district policies and procedures, maintaining effective communication, providing district oversight, and other topics related to effective board governance.The R-III school board recognizes the value of ongoing professional development to improve outcomes for students. Based on research, this is one of a series of workshops designed to equip local school board members with the skills and knowledge necessary to function as effective education leaders in their communities.The MSBA is a private, nonprofit organization that exists to help school boards succeed.Warren Co.
