Miss Payton Louise Reese of Warrenton passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022. She was born on October 12, 1999, in Wentzville to Michael Joseph and Terri Lynn (nee: Jokerst) Reese. Payton had reached the age of 22 years.
Payton graduated from high school in 2018. She was involved in cheerleading, both at school and on a competitive team, Natural Impact. Recently, she enjoyed riding her motorcycle. Payton loved spending time with her friends and family. Family was very important to her. She also loved spending every minute she could with the love of her life, Trey. They enjoyed going to car shows and drag races together. She enjoyed her job as a pediatric dental assistant. She was spontaneous and would try just about anything. Payton had an infectious personality and was a friend to so many.
Payton Reese was preceded in death by her grandfather, Terry Jokerst; great-grandmother, Helen Hoernschemeyer; and two uncles, Steven Reese and David Reese. Those who will remain grateful for having shared in Payton's life are her father, Michael Reese (Tia); her mother, Terri Lynn Reese (Brian); life partner, Trey Scott; two siblings, Nick Reese (Nona) and Elijah Schwentker; grandparents, John Reese, Linda Reese and Christine Hoernschemeyer; aunts and uncles, Johnny, Kevin and Erin Reese and Tammy Noe; several cousins, other relatives and many friends.
A celebration of Payton’s life will be held on Thursday, Sept. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. A funeral service will immediately follow with Pastor Steven Kohler officiating.
