Patricia, "Pat" or known to many as "Aunt Patti" Cope, of Warrenton, departed this world for her eternal home on Wednesday, September 18th. Pat was born on March 14, 1946 in Newark, NJ. She was the third of four daughters born to Frank and Mary (Atkinson) Muench.
Pat lived most of her life in Pennsylvania with her daughter Susan ( who she affectionately called My Susie). She was an English teacher who loved teaching Shakespeare to all of her students. However, Pat especially loved her job as an alternative education teacher. After moving to Missouri to be closer to her daughter and new family, Pat decided to turn her hobby of helpful backrubs into a job. She went back to school and became a licensed massage therapist for several years. Besides being with her family, Pat enjoyed traveling and the mountains. She and her sister made several horse-backing trips throughout the West, and she loved visiting or vacationing with family members across the country. Pat also loved sewing and quilting. She would often be found with scraps of material and an idea that would be thrown together into something beautiful. Family and friends were treated with quilts or homemade items for marriages, a new baby, or a thinking-of-you gift. On Sundays Pat would enjoy attending church with her grandson Enoch at the local Wesleyan church and watching football.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mary Ellen Rosencrance, and her brother-in-law Jim Everett. Pat is survived by her two sisters, Kathy Everett of Truth or Consequences, NM and Denise and brother-in-law Joe Lipman of Point Pleasant, NJ; her daughter Susan, and son-in-law Bill Schloeman of Warrenton; and grandson Enoch Schloeman, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials can be sent to Liberty Christian Academy in Wright City, Missouri. The family is being served by the Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton.
