John W. Albright 1944-2011 John Wippern Albright, 67, Warrenton, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011 at  his home after a long battle with cancer. He was born April 23, 1944, in New Orleans, La., the son of Marion Albright and wife Ruth nee Wippern. On Sept. 4, 1966, he was united in marriage to Yvonne Marie Pauk, in Warrenton. They were married for 45 years. Mr. Albright graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Following college, he served in the National Guard for six years. He was an insurance adjuster for State Farm before moving back to Warrenton. He then took over the family business Albright Concessions. He enjoyed being an entrepreneur and owned and operated several businesses including the vending company, a laundromat, jewelry store and rental properties. After he was diagnosed with cancer, he enjoyed his new hobby of riding motorcycles. He was a member of Frieden's United Church of Christ and a 45-year member of I.O.O.F. lodge in Warrenton. Mr. Albright was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Albright and wife Ruth nee Wippern. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Albright, Warrenton; two sons, Bryan Albright and wife Alisha, Hannibal, and Edwin Albright, Columbia; one daughter, Kristine M.A. Smith and husband Daniel, Columbia; six grandchildren, Emily Anne, Adam Lake and Sophie Lyn Albright, Samuel Clarkman, John Christian and Caden Thomas Smith; other relatives and dear friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 5, at Frieden's United Church of Christ, Warrenton, with burial following at Warrenton City Cemetery. Memorials to Friedens United Church of Christ or the Smile Train in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 East Main Street, Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred. The family was served by Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton.   Janet M. Miller 1947-2011 Janet Marie Miller, 64, Warrenton, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, at Jonesburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Jonesburg. She was born Sept. 28, 1947, in Lawrenceville, Ill., the daughter of Alfred Benjamin Miller and wife Kathleen Lockhart. Mrs. Miller was employed for 30 years at Alco Products, retiring in 2003 and was a member of Abundant Life Church, Warrenton. She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Benjamin Miller and one brother, Randal Leon Miller. Mrs. Miller is survived by her mother, Kathleen Lockhart Miller; two sisters, Aileen Kay Burris, and Kathy Jean Wilson; and one brother, Philip Samuel Miller. A service in celebration of her life was held Saturday, Nov. 5, at Abundant Life Church, Warrenton. Further services were held Monday, Nov. 7 at Emmons-Macey and Steffy Funeral Home, Lawrenceville, Ill., with burial to follow in May Chapel Cemetery, Lawrenceville. Memorials to Preferred Hospice or Abundant Life Church in care of Alternative Funeral and Cremation Services, 2115 Parkway Drive, St. Peters, MO 63376 are preferred. The family was served by Alternative Funeral and Cremation Services, St. Peters.   Funeral services for Masie Peterson Schloss, nee Murry, 96, Glen Carbon, Ill., formerly of St. Clair, were held Monday, Nov. 7, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair. Mrs. Schloss died Friday, Nov. 4, 2011. Burial was at United Methodist Cemetery, St. Clair. She is survived by four sons, Frank Peterson and wife Rhoda, York, S.C., Michael Peterson and wife Susan, Westminster, S.C., Stephen Peterson and wife Vivian, Warrenton, and Patrick Peterson and wife Carol, Edwardsville, Ill.; one stepson, Ray Schloss and wife Honna, Evansville, Ind.; other relatives and many friends. The family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home, Union.
