Mrs. Norma Jean Giles from Warrenton, passed away on Thursday, September 17. Norma was born on November 18, 1931, to the late Elvie and Virgie (nee: Colyott) Boyer in Ellsinore. She had reached the age of 94 years.
Norma was united in marriage to Homer Giles on July 8, 1950, and to this union, blessed with three children, Brenda, Dennis and Clarence. Together, Norma and Homer shared 70 wonderful years of marriage before his passing. Norma enjoyed being a homemaker and took great pride in making her family happy. Norma was a talented and creative woman who enjoyed knitting, quilting, and needle pointing. Family was especially important to Norma, and she loved her family dearly. She will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family and for the many ways she brought happiness to those around her. Her family will miss her dearly.
Norma is survived by her children, Brenda Fesser and Dennis Giles; three grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, one brother, Richard Boyer; other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Homer; parents, Elvie and Virgie; and son, Clarence Giles.
A Visitation for Norma will be held on Wednesday, September 23, at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton, from 10 A.M. - 11 A.M. with funeral services to follow at 11 A.M. also at Martin Funeral Home. A Burial will follow at Whispering Winds Cemetery in Winfield.
