Mrs. Gladys Landwehr, age 91, died December 21, 2020, at University Hospital in Columbia, MO. She was born the daughter of Herman and Cora (nee; Hanke) Schwerdt, April 14, 1929.
Gladys was baptized May 29, 1929, by Rev. F. Egger, in Holstein and confirmed April 5, 1942, by Rev. Fred Allrich at St. Johns UCC Pinckney. Her memory verse was Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God.” She was united in marriage to Earl Landwehr on April 21, 1951, by Rev. Krame at Holstein, MO. Gladys was employed for 33 years in the office of Duro-Flex Products at Foristell, MO. She also served as church treasurer, from 1999 to 2017 at St. Johns UCC Pinckney.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her daughter, Carmen (Donald) Oberlag of Centralia, MO.; two granddaughters, Stacia Oberlag-Jones of Centralia, MO. and Erin (Brian) Oltrogge of Readlyn, IA; three great-grandsons, Brody and Bryce Oberlag-Jones of Centralia, MO., and Brenden Oltrogge of Readlyn, IA., one sister, Bernice Schroeder; three nieces, Debbie Gerdeman, Brenda Bunge, and Lynn Meyer, all of Warrenton, MO, also other relatives and friends.
Services held at St. Johns UCC Pinckney on Tuesday, December 28, 2020, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. also at the church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
