Name: William (Bill) Ehlenbeck
Age: 56
Hometown: Warrenton
Occupation: Crew Foreman for Nelson Tree Service
Position sought: Board of Directors of Warren County Ambulance District
Previous political experience: I have served the Warren County Ambulance District for 10 years.
Why are you running and why should people vote for you?
Our Ambulance District has had a good reputation for many years and I am running to keep serving this great District. My wife and I are raising our children here, and I am involved in other local organizations also, to strive to keep this a good community.
The Ambulance District has experienced many changes, in the ten years I have served on the board. I can offer stability and the knowledge from past challenges, such as Covid, employee changes, and daily operations. As the District rapidly grows, it will need well-trained employees, administrators, and board members working together to keep the "latest -and-greatest" equipment in our ambulances to meet the needs of our citizens.
What are your goals if elected?
One of my goals is to try to keep a "family atmosphere" at our Ambulance District, to work together to solve any problem that may arise. I keep a open mind, but I know that carefully budgeting our tax dollars, while continuing to keep good employees to serve our growing community is a priority.
What issues are most pressing for your constituency?
One of the biggest issues we face is keeping good happy employees despite smaller budgets than neighboring larger communities. We work to find ways to pay competitive wages, benefits, and training to keep great employees here to serve our community.
