Mary Jo Hase (nee: Hallemann), 80, of Lake St. Louis passed away Monday, August 28 at St. Joseph Hospital West after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 8, 1943, in Washington.
Mary Jo was the daughter of Andrew and Gladys Hallemann of Marthasville. She was a graduate of Washington High School. She was a long-time employee and girl Friday at Binkley in Warrenton and at Louisiana Steel in Cottleville.
Mary Jo is survived by a son, Chris Bond of Lake St. Louis; a brother-in-law Kenneth Luethemeyer of Jefferson City; nieces, JoAnn Bestgen, Laurie Borchelt, Paula Whithaus, and Greta Brauner; and a nephew Mike Luethemeyer all of the Central Missouri area. She is also survived by dear friends Don Laningham, Judy Swartz, Beverly LaChance Pucci, and Glenda Bolin. Mary Jo is preceded in death by an aunt, Opal Morhaus; parents Andrew and Gladys Hallemann of Marthasville; and a sister, Beverly Luethemeyer of Jefferson City.
Mary Jo was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and golfer and loved to play the slots at the casino every chance she could. She could also be found playing games on her iPad and watching crime shows on TV.
At Mary Jo's request, there will be no services. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
