Mrs. Mary Janet Evan (nee: Cope) of Warrenton, MO., passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020. Mary was born on June 21, 1927, to the late Fowler and Dessie (nee: Carrico) Cope. She had reached the age of 93 years 4 months and 12 days.
Mary was united in marriage to Edward Wade Evans, who preceded her in death in 1986. To this union, two children were born. Mary enjoyed traveling and had many friends. Mary was very active in the Warrenton community for many years. She was a member of the Warren County Historical Society and the Warrenton Chamber of Commerce. Mary had very close relationships with her friends and family.
Mary Evans was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, her parents, Fowler and Dessie, one daughter, Lisa Cole, two brothers, JR Cope, and Forrest Cope. She is survived by her son, Todd Evans, granddaughter, Feather Matthews, 3 great-grandchildren, Cortney, Chance, and Luceliya, one great-great-grandchild, Rebel, other relatives and many friends.
The family of Mary Evans will be celebrating her life on Monday, November 9, 2020, 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Central Grove Cemetery in Truxton.
