Mrs. Mary Ann Heggemann (nee: Bader) of Marthasville, passed away on Saturday, August 3, at her home. She was born on July 2, 1938 in Rhineland, to the late Bernard and Rosella (nee: Gosen) Bader. She had reached the age of 86.

Mary Ann was united in marriage to Herbert Joseph Heggemann on April 20, 1963 in New Haven. They celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2013. This union was blessed with nine children. Mary Ann devoted her time to caring for her husband, children and her home. She also spent time at St. Ignatius Church, where she was a long standing member. Mary Ann was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan and enjoyed watching games as often as she could. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren in their various sporting events. She was a wonderful quilter and also enjoyed sewing. Mary Ann's greatest joy came from spending her time with her family. She was a loving and devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to so many.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband, Herbert; her parents, Bernard and Rosella; one sister, Teresa Beste; one grandson, Carson. She is survived by her children, Joan Schwede and husband Dennis, Joseph Heggemann and wife Katina, Rose La Roe, Thomas Heggemann and wife Paula, Michael Heggemann and wife Lisa, Robert Heggemann and wife Amy, Charles Heggemann and wife Chris, John Heggemann and wife Barbara, Nicholas Heggemann and wife Tiffany; 27 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret Logan, Carlene Brinker, and Sister Janice Bader; brother in law, Jerome Heggemann; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

 The family of Mary Ann Heggemann will host a Celebration of her Life with a visitation on Wednesday, August 7, from 3 P.M. - 7 P.M. at Martin Funeral Home in Marthasville.  There will be a Mass on Thursday, August 8,  beginning at 10 A.M. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Concord Hill, followed by a burial in the church cemetery.
