Marie P. Thurston passed away on February 9, surrounded by her family at the age of 92. Marie was born May 16, 1931 in Terrytown, NY to John and Mary DiDio nee Hrezak.
Marie was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Warrenton. Marie enjoyed reading, shopping, gardening, cooking and entertaining family and friends. Marie truly loved her family and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son, Dean J. (MaryAnn) Pomeroy of Wright City; three granddaughters, Alexis (Dave) Mikus, Danielle (Scott Napoleon) Pomeroy, Jaci Pomeroy; 5 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, John DiDio, mother, Mary Didio, husband, William D. Thurston, Sr., son, Michael Pomeroy, brother, John DiDio, sister, Emily Toke.
A visitation will be held Friday, February 16, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Pitman Funeral Home in Warrenton. A funeral will follow at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Warrenton with burial at Wright City Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Holy Rosary Church in care of Pitman Funeral Home.
