Manuel H. Potthast, 84, Warrenton, passed away on Monday. May 25, 2020, at home.
Manuel was born February 7, 1936, in Warrenton, to Simond H. and Nellie Potthast (nee Dothage).
Manuel married Martha Worley on June 20, 1959, in New Florence, at the Methodist Church and they cherished 60+ years together. Manuel worked for Dustman's Distributing 25+ years as a beer distributor. Manuel also ran Blue Moon and Country Kitchen Restaurants in Warrenton. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking, and cooking. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife Martha Potthast (nee Worley), of Warrenton; two sons, Mike Potthast and his wife BJ, and Bryan Potthast; two daughters, Melissa Mendenhall and Marcy Taber; brother, Winston Potthast and his wife Sue; three sisters, Doris Groeber, Sylvia McCarthy, and Pearl Ruthledge and her husband, Ronnie; sister-in-law, Betty Potthast; grandchildren, Sam, Lauren, Lydia, and Kisha;
He is preceded in death by his father, Simond Potthast; mother, Nellie Potthast; brother, Curtis Potthast; sisters, Violet Herdon and Ruby Mann.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 30, also at the funeral home, at 2 p.m.
Burial will follow at Hugo Cemetery, New Florence.
