Prosecutors have charged a Wright City man with child enticement and felony drug charges after he allegedly spent a night sharing marijuana with a 13 year old in Warrenton.
Joseph R. Marcoulier, 33, was charged with the crimes July 31, stemming from a sheriff’s department investigation that took place in May.
A sheriff’s deputy encountered Marcoulier May 12 while investigating a suspicious vehicle, according to a sheriff’s department report. Deputies allege Marcoulier was found around 7 a.m. in a red pickup truck on Barry Glen Road, along with the juvenile who deputies did not name.
Marcoulier allegedly told a deputy that the juvenile was his friend who he had picked up the evening before, and that they drove to Barry Glen Road and stayed there all night. Deputies said Marcoulier also admitted to having a small amount of marijuana that he shared with the juvenile throughout the night.
Deputies searched the pickup truck and located the marijuana, along with a small amount of suspected methamphetamine, according to the sheriff’s department report.
A warrant has been issued for Marcoulier’s arrest for enticement of a child, drug delivery and felony drug possession, all of which are felony charges.
