Mrs. Lorene Joyce (Nee: Densmore) Kosters of Warrenton passed away May 14, 2022. She was born October 13, 1939, to the late Chester and Viola (Nee: Hansen) Densmore. She had reached the age of 82 years.

Lorene married James Eberhart in 1960, and they had a daughter and two sons together. After their divorce, Lorene married Alvin Kosters on November 6, 1977. With this union, Lorene acquired five stepsons, and Lorene and Al had one daughter together. Lorene and Al were married for 44 years, until Al’s passing earlier this year, February 25, 2022. Lorene traveled all over the world and even lived in Saudi Arabia for a short time. She has been to all 50 states, visiting all of the lower 48 states with Alvin in their RV. At home, Lorene enjoyed flower gardening and working in the yard. Lorene also enjoyed baking cakes and pies, sewing and crafting. What she loved more than anything was spending time with her family.

Lorene held various jobs during her life; she worked at Monsanto corporation and was an organized and skilled secretary for several companies including Boonslick Area Health Services, St. John’s Hospital in Washington, and Kelly Girl temp services, during which she secured a permanent position with Kisco Multiplex. Lorene worked well into her 60s, as you may have seen her passing out product samples in Walmart (after loading, unloading and moving the necessary microwaves, tables, and other equipment for the product demos.) Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Viola; husband, Alvin; stepson Mikel Kosters; grandson Cory Kosters, and other family members and friends dear to her heart.

She is survived by her children, Babette Struttmann (Rick), Dr. Gregory Eberhart (Louise), Bruce Eberhart, and Heather Coleman (Brad); stepsons, Marlon Kosters (Senta), Craig Kosters (Holly), Darwin Kosters (Tami), and Brian Kosters (Bernarda); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Joan Crandall, Bill Densmore (Joan), Rogene Herman, and John Densmore; sisters-in-law, Hendrine Daniels and Wineva Moret; brother-in-law, Dennis Kosters; and many other relatives and friends.

We will celebrate the life of Lorene Joyce Kosters Saturday, May 28, 2022, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Warrenton with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Warrenton City Cemetery.
