Leona H.S. Bergman Van Cleve of Foristell, Missouri passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at the age of 85 years.
She is survived by one brother, Harvey Niemeyer, and wife, Eunice of Williamsburg, MO; two nieces, Shirley Lynch and husband, David of Montgomery City, MO and Lisa Wyatt and husband, Robert “Wolf” of Poplar Bluff, MO; two nephews, Wayne Niemeyer of Montgomery City, MO and Steven Niemeyer of Millersburg, MO; great-niece, Amanda Burch of Montgomery City, MO; two great-nephews, Eric Niemeyer of Jonesburg, MO and Asa Wyatt of Poplar Bluff, MO; great-great niece and nephew, Ann and Brayden; other relatives, and friends.
Leona was born August 26, 1935, in Harvester, MO; daughter of the late George Niemeyer and wife, Bertha Grote Niemeyer. She was married to Mr. Fred Bergman. She worked for many years at Gerber manufacturing in St. Peters, MO. Mr. Bergman passed away in 1976. She was later married to Mr. John Van Cleve.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, John. Leona was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wright City, MO. She loved her pets and Bluegrass music.
Leona will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 14, 2021, from 10 a.m.-12 Noon at First Baptist Church in Wright City.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 14 at 12 Noon at First Baptist Church Wright City.
Burial will be in the St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
