Kenneth Ray Stanek passed away on May 26, at the age of 66. Kenny was born August 1, 1957 in Washington, to Francis Albert and Mary Ellen Stanek nee Spires.
He graduated from Wright City High School in 1975 and was a horticulturist for the City of St. Peters. Kenny enjoyed gardening, fishing, and being outdoors. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues Hockey, and Mizzou Football fan. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his father, Frank Stanek, four sisters, Dianne (Jim) Bruce, Rhonda Deeker, Barbara (Rich) Larson, Rosalie Stuetzer; two brothers, Al (Bonnie) Stanek, Leon (Deb) Stanek; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ellen Stanek, sister, Theresa Stanek; 2 brother-in-laws Larry Deeker and Tom Stuetzer.
A visitation will be held Saturday, June 1, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home in Warrenton. A funeral will follow at 2 p.m. Memorials can be made to the Missouri Conservation Department in care of Pitman Funeral Home.
