Mrs. Kathleen Margaret May (nee: Connely) of Jefferson City, formally of Warrenton, passed away on Sunday, February 26. She was born on September 11, 1935, in St. Louis, to the late Charles Hawthorn and Bernice Catherine (nee: Cox) Connely. Kathleen had reached the age of 87 years.

Kathleen was united in marriage to Donald William May on March 31, 1953, in Pocahontas, AR. They spent 67 wonderful years together before his passing in 2020. Kathleen worked as an LPN and was co-owner of "Kay's Collectables". She and her husband also owned May Service, which began in 1983 and her sons still operate today. Kathleen was an avid sports fan. She enjoyed watching the Cardinals, Blues, and Nascar. She was also a little league baseball, softball, and soccer coach for many years. One of her favorite things was going to musical theatres. She also was an avid reader. Kathleen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Don; her parents, Charles and Bernice; her stepfather, Herbert Pelham; one son Donald Jr. Those family members who will remain grateful for having shared in Kathleen's life are her children, Donna Deetz and husband Michel, Janice Wagner, Diane Kessler and husband Harry, Kenneth May, and wife Annette, Charles "Skip" May, and wife Denice; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; one half-sister, Barbara Connely; other relatives and many friends.

A Celebration of Kathleen's life will be held on Saturday, March 4, from 10 A.M. - 12 P.M. at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. The celebration service will begin at 12 P.M., also at the funeral home. Memorial donations made in honor of Kathleen May are suggested to be given to St. Francis Borgia High School, c/o Martin Funeral Home.
