John Bertil Ahlquist Jr., 64, of Warrenton, passed away on Friday, December 22. He was born on June 29, 1959 in Springfield, MA, to John and Donna Ahlquist.
John and Karen Lynn Bowles were married on July 8, 1978 in Kirkwood. They were married 45 years and had three children.
John Ahlquist is survived by his loving wife, Karen; his children: Beth Lamb (Ben), Curtis Ahlquist and Nick Ahlquist; two grandchildren, Eleanor and Henry; his mother Donna Ahlquist; four siblings, David Ahlquist (Kristi), Mike Ahlquist, Jeff Ahlquist, Gail Amison (Eric); other relatives and close friends.
John was a Computer Software Engineer who developed video games. John loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed martial arts and was a black belt in Taekwondo. He enjoyed working around the farm, hiking and camping in their RV. John and Karen were members of College United Methodist Church in Warrenton for 16 years.
Visitation will be held at College United Methodist Church on Friday, January 12, from 10 A.M. - 12 P.M. followed by a Celebration of Life Service, also at the church, at 12 P.M. Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to College United Methodist Church in Warrenton Missouri. The family is being served by Martin Funeral Home of Warrenton.
