Mr. Jeffrey Scott Nelson, of Warrenton, passed away at his home on Monday, October 30. He was born on April 21, 1966 in Quincy, IL to Robert Eugene and Bonnie Lou (nee: Wright) Nelson. Jeff had reached the age of 57 years.
Jeff worked for the City of Warrenton for over 25 years. prior to that he worked for Burgess Ditching. He was united in marriage to Juniper Hladik on June 7, 2003 in Jonesburg, MO. They spent 20 wonderful years together. Jeff loved to spend his days at the family farm. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outdoors. He loved to BBQ for his family and friends, whom he loved dearly.
Jeff was preceded in death by his son, Chandler Ty Nelson. Surviving family members include his loving wife, Juniper; three children, Haley Long, Chase Nelson and Ryan Nelson; his parents, Bob and Bonnie Nelson; one brother, Terry Nelson and wife Paula; two grandchildren, Chandler Nelson and Evelyn Nelson and their mother, Misty Binkley; one niece, Abby Carter and husband Sam; one nephew, Brady Nelson; many other relatives and close family friends.
Jeff Nelson's family will host a Celebration of his Life with a visitation on Thursday, November 2, at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton from 9 A.M. - 11 A.M. Funeral services will begin at 11 A.M. also at the funeral home. A burial will follow at the Warrenton City Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in honor of Jeff to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
