Mrs. Janice Fern Bolm (nee: Rock), passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 3, at the age of 90. She was born on September 4, 1935 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Rock.
Janice was united in marriage to Albert (Al) Bolm on September 20, 1958 in Warrenton. They shared nearly 40 wonderful years of marriage before his passing on December 31, 1997. They were blessed with two sons. Janice was a devoted and lifelong member of Frieden's United Church of Christ in Warrenton. She was an active member and participated in the church Bell Choir and prepared the candles for service. Janice was an enthusiastic MIZZOU basketball fan. She and Al held season tickets for many years. Janice treasured the companionship of a close-knit group of friends with whom she met weekly for coffee and lunch. Janice worked in various administrative roles before dedicating herself fully to raising her family as a stay-at-home mother. Later in life, she enjoyed helping her son Brent with bookkeeping at his company. Janice was well known around town for her walking routine.
Janice Bolm was preceded in death by her loving husband, Al; her parents; four sisters, Eleanor, Merle, Joan and Julie. She is survived by her children, Andy Bolm and wife Christy and Brent Bolm and wife Carrie; one granddaughter Krystal and one grandson, Luke; other relatives and many friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13, at Martin Funeral Home from 12 P.M. - 3 P.M. A funeral service will begin at 3 P.M., also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Frieden's United Church of Christ c/o Martin Funeral Home.
